Be the Perfect Bridesmaid

Getting engaged is a big deal!!! Being asked to be in the wedding party is an honor. Clearly the bride to be thinks highly of you if she has asked you be part of her special day, so why not do something special for the bride!!! A little gift can go a long way and Michaels craft store is a one stop shop to throw together a little gift. Grab a basket and take a stroll through the wedding section. there you can find tons of little things that will get the bride even more excited about the adventure she is going to embark on. Make a little bouquet out of fake flowers, grab a copy of The Knot magazine and some other little things. Its inexpensive and it will go a long way. I promise the bride will be super appreciative.

Here is one I put together!! Notice the BLING front and center!! Every Girl needs a little sparkle...right??

Mashed Potato Cornbread Cupcake Side Dish...Nom Nom Nom

Everyone loves cornbread and everyone loves mashed potatoes, so why not make it into a cupcake?!? These little beauts are perfect for everyone from tailgating to turkey day! They are quick and easy and wont take you very long at all. You can always make these from scratch, but the 'semi-homemade' version is much quicker and just as tasty!!

For the easy boxed version you will need:

2 bags of Betty Crocker Cornbread and Muffin Mix

2 bags of Betty Crocker Simply Mashed Potatoes

Muffin Tin

Now the Directions are simple. Just follow the directions on the back of the Cornbread mix. Place the mix in your muffin tin and pop them in the oven (again follow the directions. Remember you are using two bags so if it says 1 cup on each bag thats 2 cups!). While these bad boys are baking, follow the directions on the package for the mashed potatoes. Feel free to doctor them up with some cheddar cheese and bacon. Let the mashed potatoes are cool. Once the Muffins are done and the mashed potatoes have cooled put the mashed potatoes in a plastic bag and snip off one of the corners. Next pipe the potatoes onto your cornbread muffin and TA DA! You have the perfect side dish to go!!!

DIY Wedding Shoes!!

Lets be real, most girls getting married would love love love to be able to where some blinging Louboutins on their wedding day, but with a hefty price tag of $1,000 and up its just not gonna happen for most. Well Ladies, I have a great idea that will give you glitzy shoes. It takes A LOT of time and A LOT of patience but it can be done. All you need is:

*Gemtack
*Tweezers
*Rhinestones
*a pair of satin shoes (whatever color your prefer)
*light acrylic paint in any color
*sponge brush
*masking tape
*Lots and Lots of patience

Use the masking tape to tape off the sides of the sole so that paint does not get on the actual shoe. Once that is done, use the sponge brush to paint on the light acrylic paint to the sole of the shoes. Be sure to cover the back of the heel as well. Let dry over night.

Now for the bling, I have blinged out entire shoes for people and I have blinged out just the heel to give it a little flair, its totally up to you. You can also use any size rhinestones you want. Feel free to mix and match.

Start at the bottom of the heel.
Step 1:Draw a horizontal line from one side of the heal to the other with the glue.
Step 2: Place rhinestones along the line.
Step 3: repeat steps 1 and 2 until you reach the top of the heal
Step 4: (only if you want to bling the whole shoe) Draw a vertical line of glue and place rhinestones along line of glue
Step 5: repeat step 4 until shoe is completely covered.

Its a very tedious project but so worth it and it will save you tons of money. I have been able to do every pair for under $100. Any questions...feel free to leave a comment!
